Little Angel Card

This card was made for a couple of challenges. First, the new SPCC Blog is new and having great color challenges based on the Stampin' Up colors. This weeks challenge was to use the combo of Glorious Green, Summer Sun (yellow) and Pink Passion. Now, since I do not have any Stampin' Up products (I plan to acquire some, they seem to be fantastic products and I hear people rave about them) I used the closest thing I had. The paper is actually a pale green with white dots it didn't photograph very well. If you look closely I believe you will be able to spy out all of the other colors in the details.

I think it turned out pretty cute. My little Bekah thinks this stamp is her. It kind of looks like her when she is wearing pigtails so for all intensive purposes...this is "her card". Her card is going into the pile of cards that we are sending to some very special children at Make A Child Smile.

Oh, before I forget...One thing I really like about Samantha's challenges on SPCC is that she picks the winner and the top five. I love this idea. I also love the little badges you can earn for being a winner or in the top five. What a great way to get some recognition for your efforts and to share the word about her very cool blog.

If you want more info on SPCC, please click on the blinkie to the right of this entry and it will take you there. Enjoy reading about the creator, the other members and the challenges.

Now, I love to follow the Just Magnolia Challenge Blog and will be submitting this card for that challenge too. This week is the Just Charming week so a charm had to be added to your project. I added the little bee on the right. He is attached with a brad because it simplified things for me and I didn't have a chain. :~)

If you look closely at Miss Tilda or "Miss Bekah",as my three year old would say, she is done using the tole technique. I'm excited about this because it "puffs" the image out and gives it dimension. I will be doing this again in the very near future. If you aren't sure what tole is then check out the House Mouse blog link to the right.

(Man...you would think I was on a design team for these blogs as much as I refer people to them, but alas, I am not.)

Hope that all of my creative friends are enjoying their weekend and getting lots of quality time with family and friends.

Until next time, feel free to comment and...keep your hands busy.
