Hopping for Dorcas

If you are here for the hop then you came from Jen's Blog. If you need to start at the beginning then read on through and click on Stacey's link below. Stacey was our first stop on the hop.

Okay everybody if you don't know who, Dorcas is you should. She is a very talented crafter and super friendly sweetie-pie that authors Dorcas Designs.

This has been a rough week for our very caring friend so we are hopping to send her some happiness and smiles.

So here is a little card I made to send her way...
Hoping to brighten and cheer up her day...

(Insert my photo here if I can ever get things to work properly...UGH!)

Dorcas you are truly a wonderful person.
Enjoy your hop!

Just so everybody can keep on track with the hop...your next stop is with

PEARL

If for any reason you get lost or need to start the hop from the beginning just click on Stacey's link below.

TGF Hoppin' Into the Holidays

Oh let me tell you how very excited I am to be part of this amazing blog hop! I love...no LOVE The Greeting Farm and all the wonderful designs that Marie has for us. She and Jess are so personable and giving. To be part of this hop is a dream for me...don't pinch me...I don't want to wake up if it is just a dream...LOL!

If you didn't start at the beginning of the hop and are just popping in for a visit, please click HERE and follow through to the end. There could be a prize in there somewhere for you. Thats right! Jess and Marie were feeling generous with this one and are giving away...are you ready?

The ENTIRE DECEMBER RELEASE!!!! What an INCREDIBLE PRIZE!

Now, I'd like to take a moment to share my little project with you. Snow is one of those natural wonders that makes me feel like a child each time I see it. Especially the first snow of the season. It evokes a certain joy that few other things can deep within me. I've been known to bundle up and walk for the pure joy of walking in a white wintery storm, prance around with my tongue sticking out as I try to get a flake as it descends upon me, decorate my home in blues and silvers with lots of glittery snowflakes hanging from doorways and windows, instigate a snow ball fight or two...I LOVE the SNOW!

Mix my adoration for The Greeting Farm and snow together and you get this little project that I created specifically for this occassion. I sincerely hope you enjoy it. Please finish the entire "Hoppin' Into the Holidays" Blog Hop because there are so many phenomenal projects just waiting for you to discover them.

No, the rhinestone flourishes didn't come that way. I put them on one at a time...I kick myself because there are about twenty hiding behind Miss Anya...guess I should have planned that one better...LOL!

The word "snow" is actually a cheepie from WalMart. It is a table decoration. You can pick up a pack for like a dollar! I just colored mine over in a Holiday Blue Copic and then added more sparkle with some Stickles.

With a little added light you can almost see the frost...hehehe...

Recipe: Miss Anya - Rain Snow Shine; DCWV Winter Combo Matstack; Copic Markers; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Broken China; Memento Ink - Tuxedo Black; Rangers Stickles - Icicle; misc. rhinestones in clear and green; snowflake punch; 3-D Square Adhesives

Now, if you need to be directed back to the hop...and I know you do...just click HERE and it will take you back to where it is ALL Happening! Don't forget to leave your comments.
Keep your hands busy!

SMC Lay Outs Blog Hop

If you've come here from the Sew Many Lay Outs Blog or Sew Many Challenges then you are on the right track! My little crafty theme this hop is on using flocking on your projects.

First, we need to gather our supplies. Here I have a digi image that is colored, craft glue, a glue pen and fun fuzzy flock...

I used the glue pen for the smaller areas. Just fill the space with the glue as if you were coloring the area...

Next you sprinkle the flock onto the glue area. Be sure to sprinkle ample amounts so that you get full coverage of the area.

For the larger areas I use a craft glue. This will hold the flock very nicely and dries clear.

Again, sprinkle ample amounts on the glued area. I then press gently to ensure that the flock really adheres to the space I'm working in.

Once the flock is set and the glue is dry be sure to remove the excess and return to the containers.  In the photo below you can see the fuzzy raised flock. It is a great addition to any page with a touch of whimsy.

If you want to acheive a more elegant look with flock. Use a glue pad and a stamp. Apply glue to your stamp and place on your paper. Then follow the direction as listed above. You will be able to really dress up any plain paper or project with very little effort.

Here is my finished lay out, using Sasafrass Lass DP and the Tayla and Fawn in the Sprin Rain Digi.

Next on the hop list is HEATHER.

Die Cuts R Us Design Team Holiday Blog Hop!

Can you believe it? Can you feel the excitement? Are you ready to have some FUN? The DCRU DT Holiday Blog Hop is finally here! I know I'm excited!

Here is what you need to do: Follow the hop and visit each DT's blog, being sure to find the magic word that will help  you solve your hop phrase. Leave a message on each blog regarding the hop and, of course, be VERY GENEROUS with compliments...we love to be buttered up...hehehe. Then, at the end of the hop be sure to unscramble the phrase and email your answer to Sammye Jo at  sammyejo@62cards.com. Remember to include your name in the email. Everyone who gets the phrase correct will be entered into a drawing to win a prize from the DCRU Store! Now how cool is that?
We all hope that you enjoy each and every hop on our list. If I am your first stop be sure to head back to the DCRU DT Blog. That is your first and last stop on the hop. Here is the complete list of our stops along the hop and the order in which you should jump:

Gwen (You are already here)

Each DT member has taken time to create very special projects featuring some of their favorite DCRU products. Now, it is no suprise that I LOVE Quickutz. So, my project will be featuring the Quickutz Paper Dolls and the Ballerina Outfit. I also put the girl hair to use too.

I needed a gift for the parent of a set of twins. Something that would be a great way to highlight some of the fun activities that we have been doing all year long. The trick, to find something that would be appealing to the parent of a girl and a boy. Oh, did I mention the twins are Zakk and Zoe? So, you can see how this could cause a little bit of a cunundrum for me, huh? Since I had to do something special for Zakk I also chose to feature the QK Train.

This easy project can be done by anyone. Purchase a simple Photo Album for about a dollar. Remove the front cover and the back cover. Decorate a piece of cardstock and slip it in. Wha-la, a quick and easy personalized gift!

If you haven't heard about the amazing Epic Six Give Away you really need to check this out. Click HERE for all of the details.  Claudia is so happy to offer this give away to her followers. That fortunate follower could be YOU! Don't miss your chance to register for this epic opportunity. Let your friends know too so they can join in on the fun. After all, if one of your friends wins this, you can probably still use it...tehehe!

Oh, "By" the way...have you been trying to spy out my clue for the Blog Hop? Here is a little hint...(if you haven't started writing these down...now is the time to start) it is "BY".  Now that you have my little clue it is time for you to visit with Lori, who is our next DT on the Hop. She has something stellar in store for you, so jump on over!
