Wow! Can you believe it is already time for a new challenge at the SMC Layout Challenge Blog? Well, it is...and it is a fun one too. Using shapes on your pages. In particular...punch shapes! Oh yes, we are having you drag those punches out and put them to good use again.
On my example you will see several circular shapes in glittery papers. I used two sized circle punces to create some "donut" type circles that I placed over the images on the patterned papers. I wanted to highlight the gift, because it was Rebekah's 4th B-day and her daddy set up this little party all by himself. He even went to the store and bought her a couple of gifts and plate and napkins that matched her cake! Who would have believed it? You can see the number four peeking through two of the circles too. Love the way it draws attention to her age.
Now, the wonderful little characters on my pages are the New Year's Donkey image. I trimmed out the glass to make it more appropriate for a four year old's party...hehehe. You can see him better in the image below.
The next image that I used was Jaden Licking a Cupcake. Isn't Jaden adorable. How perfect for a party with sweet treats!
Both of these wonderful little digis can be found at http://www.sewmanycards.ning.com/ . There are so many creative images to choose from too. Lots of fun themes and you can also find freebies to try out. Stop by, pick one up and join in the fun! We'd love to have you.
The SMC Layout Challenge Blog will be having our first blog hop with our next post! Stay tuned for more details...
