DCRU Challenge - Use Leftovers!

No, I don't mean make a mashed potato collage, but rather, use up those leftover scraps and papers from your holiday scrapping. Can you put them to use on an altered item, or a card? What about piece them together to create a beautiful, one-of-a-kind scrapbook page? What ever you decide to do we want to see it at DCRU!

Here is my card, made for seasonal purposes.

DCRU Tuesday Challenge - Got Color

As promised, Jessica has posted the challenge for this week. A color challenge. Get out your crayons, your colored pencils, your chalks, pastels, dare I say...your COPICS, or what ever you have in your crafty stash that you can use to color with. This is going to bring the kid out in all of us. Grab your favorite image and color away. While you are busy posting your link to the challenge, take a look at the awesome projects the DT put together. Wow! I'm always so happy to see the talent of this team and so very curious as to how I got on it. LOL!

What a Wonderful WCMD...

We had such a great day yesterday at our Craftoberfest event. Everyone really enjoyed themselves and made some superb projects. There were lay outs, cards and great conversation. Not to mention we all left with softer hands from our Beauti Control hand treatments and so relaxed from the fabulous massage that Lisa gave everyone. It was a wonderful day among friends. I'm not sure if our event will fall on World Card Making Day again next year but I sincerely hope the turn out is filled with the friendly faces we had this year.

New Challenge at DCRU DT BLOG

If you like a color challenge, and I know that you do, you will love the challenge at DCRU Design Team Blog.Margie has set up this week's challenge to include the following: Brown, Teal, Ivory or White; a stamped image and coloring with whatever media you have. Sound fun? Sure does! Use your favorite markers, pencils, chalks, inks, pastels, you name it...you can use it!


Here is the example I made for this challenge. I used my Copics Ciao markers (which you can find for only $2.99 at DCRU right now). My Cloud Nine papers and Whiff of Joy stamp. Oh, the sentiment is from one of my new Stampin' Up! sets, Curvy Verses. If you think this is cute...oh, you should see the other DT cards. These women put me to shame with their talents.

One of our very own, Diane has had a design chosen for the top five in a Spellbinders Contest. She is going to be in a drawing for a $500 prize! Diane is a super creative individual and a sweet, sweet lady. You should stop by her blog and give her a congrats while you peek over all of her fantastic creations.
